Doron Birger is President & CEO of Elron Electronic Industries, Ltd. (Israel). He joined Elron in September 1994 as Vice President of Finance and, in September 2001, was also appointed as President. Mr. Birger serves as a Director in several companies in the Elron group such as Elbit Systems Ltd, Elron Software, Elron TeleSoft, Rafael Development Corporation (RDC),Galil Medical, Given Imaging, Mediagate, Netvision, KIT and 3DV. Mr. Birger joined Elron with 15 years of experience as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in a variety of companies including North Hills Electronics, a high-tech company in the communications sector, Middle-East Pipes Ltd., a leading manufacturer in the metal industry, Maquette Ltd., a manufacturer and exporter of leather fashions, Bateman Engineering Ltd., I.D.C. Industrial Development Company, and Fibronics Ltd. Mr. Birger obtained his B.A. and M.A. in Economics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. |
