Doris Rouse, PhD, has demonstrated leadership for more than 25 years in establishing effective collaborations between industry and public sector organizations to address global health needs. At RTI, she currently serves as the director of Global Health Technologies and previously held the position of director of the Center for Technology Applications. Dr. Rouse has led programs to assess and bring to market new medical diagnostic and treatment technologies as well as technologies for persons with disabilities. In her work forming effective public-private partnerships for global health needs, Dr. Rouse has made major contributions to the development of a successful public-private partnership for the development of new drugs for tuberculosis, formed and chaired an international committee to develop wheelchair standards, and is contributing to the formation of a partnership for effective private sector participation in expanded TB and HIV care in Africa. Dr. Rouse has served on numerous technology advisory boards for industry and government. |
