Dorian Newcomb has been a member of the Firaxis art team since 2000. He studied painting, drawing, human anatomy, and 3D computer graphics at Pratt Institute. Dorian has had an interesting and varied career. He co-founded an independent game development company. After that he produced artwork for Wooden Ships & Iron Men, Semper Fi, and Brute. Just before coming to Firaxis, Dorian managed a staff of artists developing anti-terrorist software. At Firaxis, Dorian has done work for Sid Meier's Pirates! and he most recently worked on Sid Meier's Civilization IV.
