Don joined insyte in August 2005 as the VP, Canadian Operations. Don brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including 2 years at Siemens AG in Germany, 28 years at Nortel in Ottawa, and most recently 2 years as Director of the ST Microelectronics Design Centre in Ottawa. From low speed electronic telephone circuits to high speed 10G optical networking IC’s Don has been involved in the design, process technology definition and selection, modeling, product definition, product engineering, and product line management of multiple silicon custom analog and digital ASIC IC’s while providing leadership to an increasingly large and diversely talented team over the years. Don’s focus has always been on delivering complex, leading edge telecom IC’s in advanced technologies.Don received his BAsc from the University of Toronto in Engineering Science and his MEng and PhD degrees in Electronics from Carleton University in Ottawa. |
