Professional Summary
Donald Jay Wolfson is a partner of Wormser, Kiely, Galef & Jacobs LLP. He manages the firm’s immigration group, which offers a full range of services to a large and varied clientele embracing a cross section of commerce and industry. The firm represents many leading foreign and domestic corporations, as well as individuals in all matters involving citizenship, nationality and administrative law. Clients include investors, athletes, law firms, and companies in the entertainment, financial, manufacturing, agribusiness, media and communications, banking, publishing, consumer products and high technology industries, among others.
Mr. Wolfson is a former Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service, (1976-1981), past chair of the New York Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (1988-1989), founding member of the Board of Trustees of the American Immigration Law Foundation (1992-1996), and former senior editor of AILA’s Immigration and Nationality Law handbook. He writes and lectures on immigration law issues and is a frequent panelist at AILA and other business, immigration and trade association conferences. He is nationally recognized for his expertise in this field, and is often called upon to resolve complex employment-based immigration and policy issues.
