Donald H. Verhoff is Executive Vice President, Technology. He was appointed to this position in February 2003.
Verhoff's career with Oshkosh Truck spans more than 30 years. He joined the corporation in 1973 as a research and development engineer, and has held progressively more responsibility positions primarily in the areas of engineering and research and development.
Verhoff was instrumental in establishing Oshkosh 's world-class New Product Development Center in 1994 and has contributed significantly to all of Oshkosh 's current, major defense programs. He was promoted to Vice President, Corporate Engineering in 1998. Verhoff leads the corporation's new technology and product development, component and systems engineering, electronics engineering, and engineering services. During his tenure, Oshkosh has developed revolutionary truck technologies including TAK-4 independent suspension, ProPulse® diesel-electric drive, Command Zone® advanced electronics, remote diagnostics, and all-wheel steering. Verhoff himself holds seven patents for his development work.
Verhoff holds a bachelor's degree from Purdue University. In addition, he spent four years with the U.S. Air Force in missile operations.
