Donald H. Kincade began his career at FirstMerit as President & CEO of the Toledo Region in November, 2003. He previously was with the law firm of Marshall & Melhorn in Toledo, Ohio. Don joined Fifth Third Bank of Northwestern Ohio in 1990 as Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking Division, and in 1997 he became its President and Chief Executive Officer. In October of 2001 he retired from Fifth Third Bancorp as a Senior Vice President. Prior to joining Fifth Third Bank, Don held several positions with Trustcorp., Inc., a Toledo, Ohio based banking corporation, including President and CEO of its Trustcorp Company, N.A.
Don received his bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in 1972 followed by a MBA in 1975. In addition, he received his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1980. Don is a member of the Board of Trustees for COSI Toledo, ProMedica Health System, Health, Education and Research Corporation, The Toledo Symphony, and the Stranahan Theater Trust. He is a member of the Toledo and Ohio Bar Association. He is past President of the Board of Trustees for the Toledo Zoological Society, Inc., past Campaign Chairman for United Way of Richland County, a founding member of the Society of Alumni and Friends of the College of Business Administration at Ohio University, past member of the Board of Trustees for Toledo Botanical Gardens, 1991 Christmas Chairman for the Salvation Army, 1994-95 Northwest Ohio Chairman for the Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges, past member of the Executive Advisory Board Ohio University College of Business Administration, past member of the Board of Trustees of the Flower Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1997 Chairman Law Enforcement Foundation Northwest Ohio Campaign, and 2000 Chairman of Juvenile Diabetes Foundation walk. |
