Donald Trigg Chief Marketing Officer joined Cerner in the fall of 2002. Trigg oversees all aspects of Marketing ranging from traditional marketing communications to a variety of sales support activities. In addition he also serves as General Manager for the Kansas City region giving him responsibility for all client relationships within the metropolitan area.
Before joining Cerner Trigg was the director of policy for U.S. Commerce Secretary Donald L. Evans in Washington D.C. providing policy oversight and guidance on key issues including national economic matters international trade and technology policy. In advance of his work in the Bush Administration Trigg was Senior Communication Advisor in Austin Texas for the 2000 Bush for President campaign. Trigg also participated in the 2000 Florida recount and was a member of the 2001 Bush-Cheney transition team.
Prior to his involvement with President Bush Trigg did strategic communications work for innumerable Fortune 500 companies along with Michael McCurry former White House press secretary for President Bill Clinton. He also had an extended tenure on Capitol Hill working for then-Missouri Sen. John Ashcroft New Hampshire Sen. Bob Smith and Texas Congressman Dick Armey.
Trigg graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton N.Y with a degree in American History. He and his wife have two boys and are active with several local civic and charitable organizations. Trigg serves on the board of directors of the Pride of Kansas City Foundation the charitable arm of the PGA Champions Tour's Greater Kansas City Golf Classic. He is on the board of directors of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Finally he is co-chair of The Loose Society a 501(c)3 organization focused on impacting key philanthropic assets within the Kansas City area |
