Don Stephen Aron, a native Houstonian, received a Bachelor's Degree in Business in 1968 and served six years in the United States Air Force Reserves. His business career with The Aron Companies evolved in the real estate industry. From 1985, his emphasis has been business investments. he has been an investor/integral part of over seventy companies with IPO's, including mezzanine capital, bridge financing and venture transactions. Don serves on the Board of Metro Vision of North America, Inc., New York, NY, The Argentum Fund, New York, NY, and Gexa Energy Corp., Houston, TX. Philanthropic and civic causes are very important to him as evidenced by his service for the Anti Defamation League, The Jewish Federation, The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Kinkaid School, Congregation Beth Israel, The Holocaust Museum, The Galveston Historical Foundation, and a foreman of the Harris County Grand Jury. He has been presented with the Susholtz Award by the National Young Leadership cabinet of UJA, the Gotto Award and the Legends and Legacies Award in 2001 by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. |
