Don Herzog, Director of Engineering, has extensive project management skills and expertise in diagnostic ultrasound, medical information systems, image management, recording, image processing, image printers, laser systems and electro-optics. He recently led the development of the first real-time, 4D Doppler-based diagnostic system for vascular application. This technology has been acquired by a West Coast company, where it is being used to develop a method for the non-invasive measurement of intracranial pressure. This company is a multi-billion dollar medical device company. Herzog was the individual at RCA responsible for inventing the optical recording and laser diodes as used in today’s CD’s and DVD’s, which was one of RCA’s most profitable patents.
