Mr. Antonucci retired in February 2006 as the President of the Lockheed Martin Transportation and Security Solutions company, completing a distinguished 37 year career that began at AIL, a division of the Eaton Corporation, after receiving his Bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University in 1969. Mr. Antonucci joined Loral Electronic Systems in 1984 as Vice President of Procurement and Subcontracts, later advancing to Vice President of Operations and Production Programs in 1988. He was part of the Loral senior leadership team, established in Rockville, Maryland, after the acquisition of IBM's Federal Systems Division in 1994. As Senior Vice President, Mr. Antonucci helped restructure the FAA's troubled Advanced Automation System program and led the successful delivery of the subsequent Display System Replacement program on time and under budget. In 1996, Lockheed Martin acquired the Loral Corporation and Mr. Antonucci was named Executive Vice President responsible for all technical, engineering, operations and programs for the Air Traffic Management Company. Mr. Antonucci was named President in April 1998 and served in that capacity until June 2003 when he was named President of the newly formed Lockheed Martin Transportation and Security Solutions company, combining the corporation's expertise in advanced aviation management, security and mission critical civil agency information technology solutions. Under his stewardship, the company won many industry awards for excellence, including the prestigious Air Traffic Control Association's Industrial Award an unprecedented 7 times. Mr. Antonucci has been a featured speaker at many industry symposiums and in May 2006 completed 6 consecutive annual terms on the RTCA Policy Board. Mr. Antonucci remains active in the aviation and security industries, serving on the Board of Directors or as a Senior Strategic Consultant for selected companies. |
