Dominic Tufo joined Clos LaChance full time in the Spring of 2006 as the Assistant Hospitality Manager and Estate Sommelier for the Clos LaChance San Martin Tasting Room and Hospitality Center. A rising star in the wine industry, Dominic was promoted to Director of Hospitality in early 2007. He began his career at Clos LaChance in 2004, beginning with several part-time positions, including Harvest Cellar Worker and Tasting Room Associate. He passed the Introductory Level of the Court of Master Sommelier program in August, 2005. Dominic is currently studying to take the Certified Exam in the Fall of 2007. His career goal is to bring the wine world to the masses and further the Clos LaChance legacy. Dominic began his career at Starbucks as a Barista, moving up through the ranks to Assistant Store Manager and Coffee Educator over the course of two years. He then joined his wife at Costco where he has worked just about every department, ultimately managing a $256K per day operation as a Front End Manager. After 6 years at Costco, Dominic joined Clos LaChance full-time to pursue his passion for fine wine. In his free time, Dominic enjoys going to the gym, keeping up with the ever-changing world of wine, and enjoying wine with his wife, his twins and family! |
