Dominic C. Yang joined Rohm and Haas Company in 1996 as general manager of the Microelectronic Technologies business unit in Korea. In 2000 Dr. Yang was promoted director of Technology and Technical Marketing for Microelectronic Technologies’ Asia-Pacific region and two years later became the business’s Asia-Pacific region general manager. He expanded his responsibilities in 2005 when he was named Asia-Pacific region general manager for both the CMP Technologies and Microelectronic Technologies businesses.
Prior to joining Rohm and Haas Dr. Yang was an Advanced Material and Lithographic Process Module Development engineer at Motorola’s Semiconductor Fabrication division in Austin Texas. He was also employed by IBM in East Fishkill New York where he held technical positions of increasing responsibility in Materials Development including Photosensitive Material Development team leader and Cost Performance Packaging Program manager. He began his career at MIT in 1986 as a polymer and catalyst chemist.
Dr. Yang was promoted to his current position and joined the Rohm and Haas Company Leadership Council in January 2007. He was appointed a Vice President in September 2007.
He earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry (1981) and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (1986) both from the University of Chicago.
