Dirk was named to his current position at FEI in November 2005. Prior to that, he was Vice President Sales for semiconductor products in North America & Europe and before he was Director of European Semiconductor Sales. Before joining FEI in 1999, Dirk was VP of Sales and Marketing at Philips Hearing Implants, a subsidiary of Philips Business Electronics based in Antwerp, Belgium. From 1992 to 1997 he held several positions at Surrey Medical Imaging Systems, a start-up company based in Guildford, England, specializing in high-end magnetic resonance imaging equipment.
From 1987 to 1992, he was research scientist at the Bio-Imaging Laboratory of the University of Antwerp, Belgium, developing magnetic resonance imaging equipment and applications, about which he has published several papers.
Dirk holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Antwerp, Belgium and holds a B.Sc. .degree in Economics. |
