Dr. Che has over 15 years of experience in biotechnology and optical instrumentation. His broad expertise spans over optics, spectroscopy, chemical physics, DNA microarray and product development. Prior to joining Alpha Innotech in 2005, he held several technical and managerial positions at Illumina, where he led cross-functional teams and developed both a CCD imager and a confocal scanner for high speed and high resolution fluorescence detection. From 1996 to 1999, Dr. Che was with Vysis, where he developed an imaging system and a low florescent substrate for spotted DNA microarrays. He also developed several photonics products while at World Precision Instruments, Inc. Dr. Che received his BS in Chemistry from Nankai University and Ph.D in Physical Chemistry from Syracuse University. He did postdoctoral research in biophysics at University of California, Santa Cruz. During his academic career he did theoretical and experimental work in thermodynamics and molecular interaction with polarized light. |
