Dion Cornett is Vice President of Investor Relations for Red Hat. Prior to Red Hat, Dion was a co-founder and Managing Director of Decatur Jones, a sell-side equity research firm, focused infrastructure software and particularly open source software. Before Decatur Jones, he was Senior Vice President and General Partner of First Analysis, responsible for coordinating the infrastructure software franchise as it applies to private investments and equity research, where he led multiple software investments and garnered 15 years of board experience.
Before joining Wall Street, he was a regional manager for Nalco Chemical Co. and a U.S. Navy submarine officer. He graduated with honors from both the United States Naval Academy with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University with an MBA. He is a Department of Energy certified nuclear engineer.
