Dr. Day founded Network Device, Inc., to provide state-of-the-art InGaP HBT wafer foundry services to many first-tier PA companies for handset applications. He guided the company through funding acquisition, technology and product development, customer attraction and retention and, ultimately, a highly successful merger with Alpha Industries in 2000, which subsequently acquired Conexant WCD in 2002 to become Skyworks Solutions. Most recently, Day was the vice president in charge of global business development for Woburn, Mass.-based Skyworks Solutions, Inc., an industry leader in radio frequency and analog-mixed signal semiconductors for mobile communication customers. Prior to that position, he was the top executive for the company’s sales operations in China, overseeing offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Singapore. Dr. Day has authored or co-authored more than 40 published papers. Among his advanced degrees are a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a masters of business administration from San Jose State University. |
