Dick T. Walsh has served as executive vice president and programming chairman for AMC Entertainment Inc. (AMC) since 2001. In this role, he oversees the company’s programming department.
Prior to his current position, Walsh was executive vice president, film operations, AMC film, from September 1999 to November 2001. He served as senior vice president of operations for the company’s west division from July 1994 to September 1999. Walsh joined AMC in 1975 in Kansas City, Missouri. He held various positions managing local theatres before being promoted to national training director in 1981. Walsh became assistant operations manager for the Midwest division in 1984, and was promoted to vice president and division operations manager in 1987. In 1992, Walsh was named vice president and division operations manager of the central division.
Walsh received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Rockhurst University (Kansas City, Missouri) in 1975 and earned his master’s degree in business administration from Rockhurst University in 1985. Walsh lives in the Kansas City area with his wife, Candice, and daughters Taylor and Logan. |
