Dick Hale has a unique combination of operations management, marketing and business strategy and technical consulting experience. He has made contributions in such diverse markets as e-commerce, systems integration, high-resolution displays, electronic software distribution and online gaming.
He has first hand experience as a candidate courted by executive search firms and as an executive engaging search firms to fill critical positions. Dick understands the requirements of both sides in this important process.
Critical to his success as an executive search consultant, is his ability to quickly evaluate and understand client organizations and their technology. This enables him to effectively explain to savvy candidates the business reasons, which are essential to success in the opportunity.
For most of the 90's, Dick was a management consultant working with early-stage companies and those experiencing convulsive change. He served as a Director, interim President, CEO, COO, and in most operating vice president functions. Prior to this, he was a principal and member of the executive staff at Technology Development Corporation (TDC), one of Silicon Valley's earliest successful systems integration companies.
Dick is currently an Executive Fellow at the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) at Santa Clara University. He has completed advanced research towards his Ph.D. in Computer Science at USC; and holds an MS in Computer Science from USC and a BS in Mathematics from CSU, Long Beach. He has participated on panels addressing issues related to technology marketing and product positioning. He has published articles on Internet gaming and is co-author of a patent enabling for a class of secure transactions on the Internet.
