Practice Focus
Diana’s practice focuses on employment and labor law representing management exclusively. She joined Sheehan Phinney, of counsel, in 2002 and has represented management in employment and labor law matters for nearly 25 years. Prior to law school, she worked for the National Labor Relations Board in St. Louis for four years as a field examiner. She has represented employers before the National Labor Relations Board, the EEOC, the U.S. Department of Labor, OFCCP and numerous states’ agencies.
She has worked with employers during union-organizing campaigns, negotiated labor agreements, and represented employers in arbitration cases. A frequent speaker on employment and labor topics throughout the country, Diana has trained managers and supervisors in all areas of employment law and practice, including sexual harassment, ADA, FMLA, interviewing, hiring, evaluations, Title IX and COBRA.Sample Matters
Successfully orchestrated a private sector employer’s campaign during a union organizing effort, including representing the employer before the National Labor Relations Board.
Assist employers by assessing their needs and developing employment policies, employment manuals and affirmative action plans that not only address those needs, but also bring them into compliance with various state and federal laws.
Provide in-house training programs for employers on the legal aspects of interviewing and hiring to comply with federal laws.

Community Involvement
Diana is on the board of directors for Families in Transition and serves as chair of its Economic Development Committee and as a member of its Personnel/Nominating Committee. She also is the chair of the Personnel Committee of the Greater Manchester Family YMCA. |
