Desha Dardenne has successfully placed attorneys with many of the Southeast’s most prominent law firms and corporate legal departments, including King & Spalding, Paul Hastings, Jones Day, Kilpatrick Stockton, Troutman Sanders, Seyfarth Shaw and Georgia-Pacific. During her tenure with Major, Lindsey & Africa, Desha has developed invaluable relationships with associate attorneys, recruiting coordinators, hiring partners, partners and practice group leaders, enabling her to provide accurate and current information about specific opportunities to her attorney candidates.
Having personally experienced the lateral recruiting process - she used the counsel of a legal search firm when joining Troutman Sanders - Desha is particularly sensitive to the multiple and often unforeseen issues that can arise in associate search. She has become especially proficient in advising both her clients and candidates in these areas.
Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Desha practiced labor and employment law with Troutman Sanders in Atlanta and with Chaffe, McCall, Phillips, Toler and Sarpy in New Orleans. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Tulane University in 1994 and her B.A. in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 1990.
Desha enjoys volunteer and charitable work and is active in several organizations throughout the community. |
