Derek Bartlett is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, New Brunswick with a Bachelors degree in geology (1962). He also completed several postgraduate courses in economic geology and sedimentology.
Mr. Bartlett has 40 years experience in geological exploration, having spent 30 years as Vice-President of the New Jersey Zinc company and Vice-President and Manager of Canada for Goldfields Mining, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Consolidated Goldfields of London, England.
During the last 10 years, Mr. Bartlett has acted in a consulting capacity and has served as President of two junior public mining companies (Braddick Resources Ltd. and Blue Emerald Resources Inc. now called Kingsman Resources and Saville Resources).
He sits on the board of three other mining companies (Waseco Resources, Diadem Resources and Oromin Resources) and has raised in excess of 5 million dollars in non-brokered financing for Braddick and Blue Emerald. He has also actively participated in the raising of 10 million dollars for other companies where he served as the key technical director. Mr. Bartlett serves as both technical consultant and director to some of these companies and is currently negotiating terms with a network of significant investors who wish to invest in specific qualified junior mining companies with promising gold and/or silver assets. This arrangement will include assisting specific companies in acquiring precious metal properties of merit under favourable terms. |
