Derek A. Gordon was named vice president - Marketing in 2004. He is responsible for worldwide Marketing functions, including brand management, personnel staffing and development, consumer intelligence, advertising agency management, consumer promotion, media planning and buying, commercial production and packaging graphics.
Gordon joined Clorox in 1994 as a brand manager in the Home Care business. He subsequently held Marketing positions of increasing responsibility, including group marketing manager - Auto Care, director - Marketing, Seasonal and Food Products, and vice president - Marketing, Specialty Products.
Prior to joining Clorox, Gordon spent five years working in brand management at Procter & Gamble. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1981 to 1987, achieving the rank of Captain.
A native of Colorado Springs, Colo., Gordon holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Wyoming, and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. |
