In addition to his position as president of Raymond James & Associates, Inc., member New York Stock Exchange/SIPC, he serves on the firm’s operating committee and is a director of the firm’s insurance subsidiary, Planning Corporation of America. Raymond James & Associates is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial.
Prior to being appointed to his current position, Mr. Zank had served as executive vice president of operations and administration since 1992. In that position, he directed securities and customer operations, client services, information technology, office services, human resources, financial and regulatory reporting, and international operations.
Mr. Zank joined Raymond James’ Accounting Department in 1978 and became the controller in 1982. He was appointed treasurer in 1985 and was promoted to senior vice president in 1986.
A 1976 graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, he earned his MBA from the University of Tampa in 1982.
In January 2000, he was appointed to a three-year term on the board of directors of the Options Clearing Corporation. Mr. Zank now serves as Member Vice Chairman of the board of directors of the Options Clearing Corporation. He has also served a three-year term on the board of directors of the National Securities Clearing Corporation, beginning in 1994.
Originally from Michigan, Mr. Zank has lived in the Tampa Bay area since 1974 and currently resides in Clearwater, Fla. He enjoys boating, fishing and golf.
