Dennis began programming DOS based systems in the early 1980's working with architectural firms Gensler and Neville Lewis in New York. Dennis founded Earnest Development in 1984, with the introduction of the "Earnest" system to the facilities planning and interior design/architectural industry. The system was a pioneering approach, using (very new) database technology to manage space requirements programming, furniture and yardage quantification and specifications. It was later enhanced to include utilities for move management and linking data to early AutoCAD files, and used on millions projects including the Denver Airport, Western State Hospital, Amoco and Boeing. Dennis' focus is now, as in the past, on exploring and applying new technologies, inventive solutions and prototype systems. |
