A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dennis J. Kuester is chairman of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation and chairman of Metavante Corporation.
During his career at M&I, Mr. Kuester has served in several positions at M&I Data Services (now known as Metavante Corporation) where he became a vice president in 1976, president in 1985, and chairman and CEO in 1993. In 1987, he was elected President of the Marshall & Ilsley Corporation, a multi-bank holding company.
Before joining M&I in 1976, he held various sales and sales management positions in the IBM Corporation, working in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Chicago.
Mr. Kuester is a director of Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Modine Manufacturing Company, Krueger International, Super Steel Products Corp., Wausau Paper Corporation, Bradley Foundation, Medical College of Wisconsin, and Marshall & Ilsley Corporation. He is the Chairman of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Christian Stewardship Foundation.
He earned a B.B.A. in accounting and finance from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has served as past president and director of the UWM Foundation, Inc. and as past president of the UWM Business Advisory Council. Mr. Kuester also is on the United Way and YMCA boards. |
