Mr. Horowitz has been the President and Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company since March 1998, and Chairman of the Board since January 1, 2001. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Horowitz served as Corporate Vice President and President of the Americas of AMP Incorporated ("AMP"), a high-technology electric connector and interconnection systems company, since September 1994. Prior to joining AMP, Mr. Horowitz was employed for over 14 years at Philips Electronics North America Corporation ("Philips"), a diverse electronics manufacturer, where he served from October 1993 to August 1994 as President and Chief Executive Officer of Philips Magnavox CATV Systems and President and Chief Executive Officer of Philips Discrete Products Division.
