Dee Means possesses a wealth of experience and knowledge in the I.T. field. As Area Manager, she presides over our solutions and CollegeCareerCorpsSM efforts out of the Charlotte area. Prior to joining Cook Systems International, Mrs. Means served as the Vice President of the Information Technology Charlotte (ITC) council of the Charlotte Chamber for 13 years managing a $200,000+ budget for the organization, the Chamber s top project revenue generator. Dee has also held a position with the Workforce Development Division of the Chamber. Under her leadership of the ITC, the council received recognition from the North Carolina Lt. Governor, the Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board, and the National Academy of Finance for their commitment and innovative programs that promote the integration of technology within the classroom curriculum and bridging the digital divide gap. Prior to her Chamber position, she worked in the software, insurance and banking industries. Her previous board appointments included the Congressional Grant Advisory Committee for Johnson C. Smith University and UNC Charlotte I.T. departments, the advisory board for the UNC Charlotte College of Computing & Informatics and advisory board for W.I.S.E. (Women in Information Science and Engineering. Dee graduated with a B.A.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. |
