Debra Pruent is COO of GfK Custom Research North America which represents the integration of six North American companies operating in the US and Canada. Prior to becoming COO, she served in a variety of management positions within the company prior to being appointed CEO of GfK Automotive in June 2003. She has over 20 years of automotive marketing research and consulting experience on both the client and agency side. While part of Allison-Fisher International (AFI), Debra played a key role in its acquisition by NOP World/UBM in 2001.
Debra joined Allison-Fisher International (AFI) in August 1991. She began her career at AFI as a Vice President heading up the domestic automotive accounts and was appointed Executive Vice President in 1994. Debra became President, COO in 1997. She also worked at General Motors Corporation for 10 years, first at the Research Laboratories and then in marketing research, forecasting and product planning roles.
Debra graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science and an MS in Statistics from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She has also taught at Oakland University in the Mathematics department.
