Debra Pagan, founder and president of D. Pagan Communications, Inc., has more than 15 years combined experience in journalism and public relations. Her specialties are in the professional audio and video markets, which were the foundations on which she started D. Pagan Communications. A graduate of Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism, Debra began her career as a news reporter and then moved into corporate communications for Grumman Corporation. With a deep-rooted interest in audio, she then joined Testa Communications as the managing editor of Sound & Communications, where she honed her writing, reporting and editing skills, gaining invaluable industry knowledge. She then moved on to PSN-Miller Freeman, where she was the managing editor of Television Broadcast, and shortly thereafter she was named editor of Pro Sound News. For more than seven years, she furthered her industry experience by attending conferences and moderating seminar panels. Debra was instrumental in redesigning and improving the editorial content of Pro Sound News, which subsequently increased the magazine's revenues substantially. While employed at PSN, Debra earned a Masters Degree in Marketing at Adelphi University. After the completion of her MBA, she held the position of vice president for a consumer electronics public relations agency. Then, in 1995, Debra founded D. Pagan Communications, Inc. with its first client being Solid State Logic. Since then, the business has grown to more than 20 clients and has become a leading public relations and marketing agency in technology and education. Debra's track record in getting results has become the cornerstone of the comprehensive marketing and public relations agency she owns and operates. Debra has cultivated her industry contacts and developed close working relationships with key players in several industries in order to provide the most effective public relations and marketing strategies available today. |
