Debra A. Harrison is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Washington, DC. office. As a member of the Corporate Department, Debra focuses her practice on intellectual property and business growth strategies.
Debra’s emerging business practice includes counseling clients, both publicly and privately held, on transactions related to capital formation, mergers and acquisitions, franchise and brand extension programs, joint ventures and strategic alliances. She has extensive experience advising e-business and technology based companies with regard to corporate and transactional matters. Debra’s intellectual property practice includes the prosecution and licensing of trademarks, and the licensing of other intangible assets.
Debra serves as a counsel to the National Association of Women Business Owners, and has assisted the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, and the Morino Institute's Netprenenur.org program with intellectual property matters.
Debra is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland and before the U.S. District Court for Maryland, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
