Deborah Bernstein, a Principal, joined Pequot Ventures in 2001 where she focuses on investments in information technology. Previously, Ms. Bernstein was a principal with Thomas Weisel Capital Partners, L.P., a $1.3 billion private equity fund, where she was one of the first non-partner hires and led the day-to-day execution and monitoring of enterprise software investments for private equity on the West Coast. Prior to Thomas Weisel, Ms. Bernstein was an associate in the principal investment area and a financial analyst in the financial institutions group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where she was part of the team that led the firm's strategic investment in Wit Capital. Ms. Bernstein is also a frequent speaker on enterprise software application trends. Ms. Bernstein graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Dartmouth College with an A.B. in Economics and earned her M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Ms. Bernstein currently serves as a director on the board of Blazent, Klocwork, and Recordant. |
