Deborah Burns is responsible for the securitization of mortgage loans purchased through the Bulk Purchase, Correspondent and Direct Lending channels of Thornburg Mortgage with a variety of dealers and government agencies. In addition, she negotiates mortgage loan purchase and servicing arrangements for the Company, including contracts for subservicing and master servicing.
Prior to joining Thornburg, Ms. Burns was Director of the Securities Division of TIAA-CREF in New York, the largest private pension fund. While at TIAA-CREF, she was responsible for negotiating and investing in a variety of securities including corporate securities, leveraged buy-outs, lease finance, oil and gas transactions, and emerging market asset-backed transactions. In 1993, Ms. Burns established TIAA's project finance group, which became an industry leader in financing large infrastructure projects both domestically and in emerging markets. Prior to joining TIAA, Ms. Burns worked in the Securities Investment Division of MONY Capital Markets as an investment officer.
Ms. Burns holds an B.A. in Economics from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the NYU Stern School of Business Executive M.B.A.Program in Finance. |
