Ms. Leonard joined the firm in 2003 as an associate in the Reno office. She works primarily in the fields of natural resource and water law, real estate law and general civil litigation. Before joining the firm, she clerked for the Honorable David W. Hagen in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Her knowledge of natural resources law issues is founded in a strong science background. After earning her degree in Zoology, Ms. Leonard worked as a fisheries biologist for the National Marine Fisheries Service in Juneau, Alaska. Seeking to apply her science experience in an educational setting, she taught middle and high school science for two years before deciding to pursue a law career.
