Dean Manson joined Hughes Network Systems (HUGHES) in 2000 and has served as its vice president, general counsel, and secretary since 2004. Mr. Manson is responsible for all legal matters at Hughes and its subsidiaries, including commercial contracts, corporate and financial transactions, intellectual property, compliance programs, government advocacy, and litigation. Mr. Manson is also vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Hughes' parent company, Hughes Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:HGCM), and is a member of the board of directors of several of Hughes' subsidiaries.
For seven years prior to joining Hughes, Mr. Manson was an associate with the law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, LLP, focusing on international corporate and project finance transactions.
Mr. Manson earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Princeton University and a certificate from Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He received a Juris Doctorate degree from Columbia University School of Law. |
