Dawn McIntosh Dawn brings over 14 years of extensive experience in the fields of environmental law, including the Endangered Species Act ("ESA"), California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA"), National Environmental Policy Act ("NEPA"), constitutional law, complex land use litigation, civil rights claims, Fifth Amendment takings, water quality and water rights issues, regulatory compliance, the Magnuson-Stevens Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act, and condemnation (inverse and direct). She worked with Fox & Sohagi for a total of seven years and served as an advisor to the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration's ("NOAA") National Marine Fisheries Service for six years in between her time with Fox & Sohagi.Dawn has spoken and written on the Endangered Species Act for the ABA section of Environment, Energy and Resources and the American Planning Association. She has also provided updates and summaries of various CEQA cases for the Los Angeles County Bar and the American Planning Association. She is currently serving as the chair of the Endangered Species Committee of the American Bar Association, after serving for two years as a vice chair. Dawn is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of California, the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and all U.S. District Courts in California.Dawn received her J.D. from the University of California at Davis School of Law in 1992 and her B.S. in Marine Biology from the University of Maryland in 1988. Dawn was formerly a biologist for the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. |
