Dawn Lepore serves as the chief executive officer for drugstore.com inc. a leading online provider of health beauty vision and pharmacy products and solutions. Lepore joined drugstore.com inc. in October 2004 and is widely recognized as a results-oriented leader who played a key role in building The Charles Schwab Corp.'s highly successful e-commerce business. Lepore also serves as the chairman of the board of directors for drugstore.com.
Prior to joining drugstore.com Lepore served as vice chairman of technology operations and administration for Schwab. She was also a member of Schwab's Executive Committee and a trustee of SchwabFunds. In her 21 years with Schwab Lepore held a wide variety of roles and responsibilities including serving as chief information officer and senior vice president of information technology.
Lepore serves on the boards of eBay The World's Online Marketplace and Catalyst a nonprofit organization working to advance women in business. Lepore also served on the board of Wal-Mart for a number of years and is currently a trustee of Smith College.
Lepore was honored at the 2003 National Organization for Women's Aiming High Conference as one of Fortune's 50 Most Powerful Women in American Business in 2002 2001 2000 and 1999; as InformationWeek's Chiefs of the Year for 2000 and also was named one of the Ten Hottest CIOs in 1999 by Future Banker magazine.
