Davina Harden is a senior associate in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Ms. Harden represents California public school districts in all aspects of education and employment law. Her areas of expertise include charter schools, student rights and discipline, public employee rights, conflicts of interest, employment discrimination and sexual harassment, and transactional matters, including negotiating, drafting, and reviewing agreements. Ms. Harden also conducts investigations into allegations of employee wrongdoing on behalf of employers on the conduct of their own investigations. Ms. Harden received her Bachelor's degree, with honors, cum laude, and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Redlands. She received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. While at Hastings, Ms. Harden served as the Writing Program Coordinator for the Hastings Law Journal. Ms. Harden formerly worked as an associate at Rutan & Tucker, where she specialized in transactional matters pertaining to public entities, particularly municipalities and redevelopment agencies. She has served as Assistant City Attorney for the cities of Yorba Linda and Villa Park, and as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Irvine. Ms. Harden has presented seminars and workshops to numerous school districts and organizations in California regarding sexual harassment laws, student discipline, charter schools, and other current legal issues. She is a frequent contributor to the firm's publications. |
