David E. Wensel, is a director in LECG’s Chicago office. He has substantial engagement management experience with the valuation, economic, financial, and accounting aspects of commercial litigation, bankruptcy, professional liability, intellectual property, construction, regulatory and other matters. Mr. Wensel’s engagement experience includes work performed for law firms and their corporate clients operating in diverse industries including the telecommunications, airline, health-care, professional services, and banking industries, among other. His engagements have included matters involving manufacturing, distribution, and retail industry segments as well as start-up enterprises deploying early stage technologies.
Mr. Wensel has substantial experience in damage assessments including voidable transfer damage quantification in bankruptcy matters, as well as lost profits and excessive cost determinations in commercial disputes. Mr. Wensel is experienced in cost determination and cost allocation matters in both commercial claims as well as regulatory proceedings. Mr. Wensel has substantial experience performing business valuations.
Mr. Wensel received a bachelor's degree including dual majors in economics and philosophy from Carthage College and received a masters of business administration degree from University of Texas with concentrations in finance and accounting. Prior to joining LECG, Mr. Wensel was a director in the Chicago office of Peterson Consulting (a unit of Navigant Consulting, Inc.) in the financial and claims group’s complex commercial claims practice area. |
