David Welsh is the executive vice president, corporate strategy and development for McAfee, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for all business development activities, working closely with McAfee’s sales team to ensure that the company’s strategic alliances, including relationships with leading technology partners, are designed to maximize McAfee’s potential for future growth.
Prior to joining McAfee, Welsh served as a partner for seven years at Partech International, an international venture capital firm, where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing on venture capital investments. Previously, Welsh headed corporate development for Portal Software, an Internet billing and customer care software company. At Portal Software he was an early team member that grew the start-up company to over $200 million revenue per year.
Welsh holds a Juris Doctorate degree from UC Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree from UCLA in International Economics with a minor in Computer Information Systems. |
