David Slump, an 18-year veteran of the utility and energy industry, joined Cellnet as its Chief Executive Officer in April 2007. David has held various positions within GE, ABB and Commonwealth Edison. David comes to Cellnet most recently from GE Energy, where he was General Manager, Global Marketing responsible for growth and expansion of the $19 billion supplier of power generation and energy delivery technologies. Prior to his tenure at GE, David held several key executive positions with ABB Group, including a term as President of Utilities Division USA, a business serving electric, gas and water utilities in the United States with automation and power products and services. David also spent over 2 years in Zurich, Switzerland heading Marketing & Sales for ABB’s Medium Voltage Equipment business. Before joining ABB, David spent most of his career in activities related to the electric utility industry, working for the Electric Power Research Center of Iowa State University, Omaha Public Power District and Commonwealth Edison. David has a B.S. Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He is a Board Member for the Georgia Clean Air Campaign. |
