Prior to joining Plexus, Mr. Rubenking was a principal, director, and CFO of Greystone Energy, Inc., a San Juan Basin gas producer. He was instrumental in influencing the company’s value-creation strategy and capital expenditure program resulting in the doubling of company value and a 500% increase in equity market value within 2 years. He designed and negotiated the structure of Greystone’s capital base ensuring the success of its initial property acquisition at the lowest cost of capital. He negotiated with the company’s bank to finance the early retirement of preferred share obligations enabling the common shareholders to realize larger capital gains upon the sale of the company. From 1989 until 1999, Mr. Rubenking was Managing Director of the Denver Energy Finance Office of Bank of America’s Global Corporate and Investment Bank. He was responsible for managing over $2 billion in corporate debt relationships comprised of a diverse client base in the Rocky Mountain region.
Mr. Rubenking earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University in 1976 and is a certified public accountant. Prior to joining Bank of America’s predecessor NationsBank in 1989, he held various positions in public accounting and corporate banking. |
