Mr. Rosenfeld joined MMI Genomics in 2002 and is an integral part of the IT team. As the Company’s Director of Software Development, Mr. Rosenfeld has developed information management systems for the genomics and genotyping services groups as well as managing scientists in the bioinformatics group. He has significant experience with operating systems and other cutting edge IT tools. Mr. Rosenfeld has industry experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design, UML, Language Design, Simulation, System Engineering, Hardware-Software Co-Design, Compilers, Interpreters, Object Oriented and Relational Databases, and Expert Systems. He has made important contributions to the Company in the areas of Laboratory Information Management Systems, DNA/protein sequence analysis pipelines, gene expression analysis, whole genome shotgun assembly pipelines and whole genome SNP association studies.
Prior to joining MMI Genomics, Mr. Rosenfeld served as Manager of Software Development for Celera AgGen. Mr. Rosenfeld was with Foresight Systems as its Director of Software Engineering from 1995 to 1999 and spent a year as a Senior Scientist with Apple Computer.
