David Root joined Mohr Partners in 2004 and is based in Dayton Beach, Florida. He is responsible for the coordination and project management oversight of the real estate portfolios of Mohr Partners’ national clients. David started his career in the civil engineering/construction field over 20 years ago. He has migrated his core construction management skills into the commercial, residential, industrial sectors. As an experienced Project Manager, David’s skills have been acquired by holding a variety of leadership roles on hundreds of construction projects as well as regional and nationwide build-out initiatives. In 1989 a veteran of the US Army, David worked with a civil engineering firm while working toward a degree in construction management. While there he specialized in federal, state and local right negotiations for roadway, intersection and bridge construction projects, utilizing his significant construction and real estate acquisition background. David moved onto a successful real estate development company in 1997, where he performed due diligence and conducted construct ability studies on potential development tracts. The company experienced a significant up-turn in site productivity in his region and promoted him to a regional management role covering the Ohio and Indiana markets. In that role, David structured project tracking and information sharing guidelines for large-scale development projects. David then worked independently with private real estate investors and construction services companies. As a licensed Realtor in Ohio, he served as an advocate for the landowner and the development community, establishing a voice for his clients in local zoning and planning organizations. David developed strategies for development companies that allowed them to recognize the value of their ownership investment. He provided solutions on many sites that had previously been determined return limited projects. In 1999, David was recognized as a leader in construction services and was recruited by Winstar, a national upstart broadband service provider that focused on the commercial office level subscriber. There he led in the identification, lease up and construction initiates for the Indiana markets. He worked on national portfolio projects with Duke Weeks, Colliers and Citimark, as well as other regionally based commercial real estate organizations. David exceeded market expectations, providing full market penetration and construction completion in just under two years.In 2001, David joined the Project Management and Construction Division of Crown Castle International, where he directed regional level construction activities on more than 200 sites covering the region of Indiana and Illinois. He provided sub-contractor identification, on-site construction management, and customer representation. David’s customer account responsibilities included nationally recognized Cingular Wireless, Verizon Wireless, and Bechtel.David brings to Mohr Partners, his exceptional understanding of the real estate and construction fields, including knowledge of various types of project and construction management services, thus providing a solid delivery of services to Mohr Partners’ clients nationwide. |
