Dr. Robson's career has been primarily in operating oil and gas companies. Trained as a geologist with a Bachelors (Hons) degree in Geology and PhD in Geochemistry, Dr. Robson also holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde.
He has worked as an exploration and production geologist, and in petroleum engineering and commercial functions. In addition, he has been involved in the management of several energy companies including Britoil plc, Mobil Oil and BHP Petroleum (formerly Hamilton Oil).
Dr. Robson involvement in the Former Soviet Union began in 1990 in a business development capacity, and he has since worked on projects in Hungary, Poland, Albania, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan as well as many parts of Russia. Dr. Robson was the founder and the CEO of JKX Oil & Gas plc, a UK company primarily involved in oil & gas production in Ukraine.
Dr. Robson has been involved in the energy sector in Georgia since 1992. He is well known by the Georgian government at all levels and was responsible for the fist international drilling and production in Georgia since the last century. In 1998, he was made an honorary citizen and freeman of the ancient Georgian city of Telavi and has spoken on investment in Georgia at international forums such as the "Paris Club" of creditor nations.
Dr. Robson owns 457,760 shares and 3,500,000 options.
