David Penchoff is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Assured Guaranty Re Ltd. (AG Re). Prior to being appointed to his current role in December 2005, he served as the Chief Underwriting Officer for AG Re, a position he had held since 2004.
Mr. Penchoff’s previous experience included 10 years at MBIA Insurance Corp. (MBIA), where he was a managing director for public finance with responsibility for business development and underwriting at the largest public finance group in the financial guaranty industry. Prior to MBIA, he was a vice president in the Bond Insurance Ratings Group at Standard & Poor’s and was an investment officer at Aetna Life and Casualty.
David Penchoff received his graduate degree in public administration from the University of Southern California and his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Penchoff is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NMFA).
