David Mack brings his clients at CLS extensive coalition building and management experience, and expertise in congressional affairs and media relations. Before joining CLS in the spring of 2006, David Mack worked as the Director of Government Affairs at the National Small Business Association (NSBA), the nation’s oldest small business organization representing 150,000 business owners. As the Director of Government Affairs at NSBA, David developed NSBA tax and telecommunication policy. Among his greatest successes include the formation of a broad coalition to support the repeal of the self-employment tax on healthcare and, subsequently, coordinating the effort to introduce legislation to accomplish this goal in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Prior to his time with NSBA, David worked in the office of U.S. Representative John Sweeny (NY-20). He worked on issues affecting upstate New York including dairy compact pricing and regional transportation issues. David also worked for the American Chamber of Commerce in Prague, Czech Republic where he studied banking reform and prospects for the Czech Republic’s European Union ascension. David graduated from American University with a major in political science and minor in economics. He studied economics at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. |
