Dr. Klock has served as a director since1984. He was chairman from 1993 through May 2006 and at present is chairman emeritus. Currently, he is employed by California State Polytechnic University, Pomona where he has served as dean of the College of Business Administration since June 2005. Prior to joining California State, Dr. Klock was our chief executive officer from July 1993 through July 2004 and our president from 1992 through January 1997.
In 1993, Dr. Klock led a management buy-out of the Company and was subsequently appointed chairman and CEO. In 1995, CompBenefits became a public company. In June of 1999, senior management took the Company private through a management buy-out of CompBenefits with GTCR and TA Associates. During his tenure as CEO, CompBenefits grew from $40 million in revenue to over $300 million with industry leading profit margins.
He has served as the chairman of the Finance Department at the University of Central Florida (UCF). He was on leave from UCF in 1987 to serve as an insurance economist at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He currently serves on the board of directors of Province Healthcare (NYSE: PRV) where he chairs the audit committee
Dr. Klock obtained a B.S. from Northeastern University and a doctorate in Finance from the University of Illinois. |
