As a Junxion co-founder and member of the board, David focuses on company operations, production and finance.
David’s career in wireless spans over a decade, with extensive experience in finance, business development and operations. He has has raised over $1 billion in debt and equity capital for wireless companies. Prior to co-founding Junxion, David founded Monet Mobile Networks (formerly Burst Wireless), the first carrier to deploy broadband mobile data services in the United States. Monet’s network was built with 1xRTT and then 1xEV-DO technology, standards now used by Verizon and Sprint. David conceived of the business plan, hired the initial team, and secured over $60 million from investors that included Mayfield Fund, Soros Private Equity Partners, Qualcomm, Voicestream (now T-Mobile), Intel Capital, Cascade Investments and Hook Partners. David also served on the board of directors of the company from its inception.
Prior to Monet, David was part of the founding team at Nextel International (formerly McCaw International) where he served as Assistant Vice President and Treasurer. Before Nextel, he held similar responsibilities at AT&T Wireless Services in its newly-forming International Development and Operations group. David began his career as an investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston. He earned an MBA in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA with honors in East Asian Studies from Trinity College. He also serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of King County. |
