David Chestler joined Pegasus Solutions in April 2002 as vice president of sales. Pegasus is a global leader in providing technology and services to hotels and travel distributors. He is primarily responsible for the Pegasus' solution center, an overlay to the company's global sales organization supporting complex deals across both supply and demand channels.
Prior to joining Pegasus, Chestler was the general manager of Visual Data Travel Group, a division of Visual Data Corporation (Nasdaq: VDAT), where he was responsible for Visual Data Travel Group's flagship, HotelView, the first and only producer and distributor of hotel and travel videos on the Web, as well as its other subsidiaries, AttractionView and ResortView.
Prior to joining Visual Data Travel Group, Chestler served for nine years with Utell International, the world's largest hotel reservation, sales and marketing company, which is now a service of Pegasus Solutions. Chestler was vice president of sales and development for Utell, overseeing $400 million in annual revenue and a portfolio of 1,200 hotels. Earlier, he was regional director of its Eastern Division, and regional account manager and hotel contracts manager for the company.
Chestler's marketing experience also includes consultative work for Evergreen Enterprises and Pfizer Pharmaceutical Company. Before that, he spent five years gaining advertising and sales and marketing management expertise at a variety of companies. He was an account executive in the business development department at MCS Group, and regional consultant/account executive at Dun and Bradstreet Corporation. He also served as a marketing coordinator/research analyst for the Burger King Corporation and as an assistant account representative/creative artist at Ad Shop/Smith Winston Advertising.
Chestler holds a bachelor's of science degree from Florida International University, where he majored in communications with minors in marketing and sociology. He also attended American University in Washington, D.C. |
